Global Capacity Adds Industry Vet as CTO

Global Capacity has added Tony Thakur to its executive leadership team as CTO.

An industry veteran and Ethernet champion with extensive data network engineering and operations experience, Tony is responsible for all aspects of Global Capacity’s One Marketplace network strategy, architecture, engineering and planning.

Tony has over 25 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, including network design, architecture, planning, deployment, capacity management and sales engineering.  He most recently held the position of vice president of engineering & technology for TelePacific Communications, where he provided strategic direction, technology selection and product development support for next-generation services including IP Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) wide-area Ethernet.  Tony also held executive positions at CENX and  tw telecom.
