Hornetsecurity is extending its reach in the North American market with its acquisition of Zerospam.
This is the cloud email security specialist’s second acquisition this year, following the January purchase of backup solution provider Altaro.
“Our acquisition of Zerospam falls in line with Hornetsecurity’s goal to become the No. 1 security, compliance and backup provider, and will help the company achieve its aggressive plans in its strongest growth market, North America and Canada,” said Hornetsecurity COO Daniel Blank.
Zerospam provides cloud-based email security solutions to the SMB market and serves more than 4,000 small, midsized and enterprise customers worldwide. It says it works with more than 400 partners primarily in Canada and the United States.
Prior to its Altaro acquisition, Hornetsecurity acquired United Kingdom-based EveryCloud Technologies in 2020, and Spanish email security provider Spamina in 2019.
