Veteran master agent Doug McMillan passed suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack on September 22, in Manhattan Beach. He was doing what he loved: riding his bike along the coast.
“The telecommunications industry recently lost a great friend and partner in Douglas McMillan,” said Jonathen Marder of Carrier Consulting. “Doug will be sorely missed by his family and friends.”
McMillan had been a master agent for over 20 years, originally under the name of Dial Tone Services and more recently at his company Telcom Insight. Although he had no children of his own, he spent countless hours mentoring youth at his favorite charity Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). Donations are being accepted in McMillan’s name for the NFTE Greater LA’s youth entrepreneurship programs.
