Global Capacity Adds Silicon Valley PoP

Global Capacity has expanded its One Marketplace platform with a new point of presence (PoP) located at Equinix’s Silicon Valley 5 data center, at 9 Great Oaks Boulevard in San Jose, Calif.

One Marketplace provides bi-directional interconnections for network buyers and sellers. The San Jose PoP offers connections to more than 140 network service providers, 400 cloud providers and 600 IT service providers. With speeds scaling from 1.5Mbps to 10Gbps, Global Capacity’s One Marketplace offers connectivity for voice, data, storage, and video traffic. The platform provides an automated way to price, buy and manage network connectivity leveraging the market’s TDM private Line and Ethernet networks, with connectivity to 3 million+ commercial addresses in the U.S.

“The new San Jose PoP is an integral part of Global Capacity’s strategic plan to grow One Marketplace in ways that complement our customers’ growing needs for connectivity, latency and competitiveness,” says Greg Hough, executive vice president of network strategy for Global Capacity.  “The Bay Area continues to be a center of innovation in the technology industry, and Global Capacity is proud to be able to further facilitate the interconnectedness of this digital economy.”
