Ingram Micro Launches Cloud Marketplace in Germany

Ingram Micro has announced the availability of its Cloud Marketplace in Germany.

Now available in five European countries, with anticipated market unveilings in Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy and Spain coming soon, the Cloud Marketplace continues to serve a growing roster of organizations looking to transform their businesses in the cloud.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions that enables channel partners to gain online access to an array of cloud solutions and services that cover all major business categories including: infrastructure, security, communication and collaboration, business applications and platform and cloud management services.

The market for public cloud-based services is showing robust growth in Germany. According to IDC, the total public cloud services end-user spend in Germany (excluding private cloud spend) is expected to hit EUR $4.65 billion in 2018, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) (2013-2018) of 27.3 percent. This is almost 15 times the growth predicted for the German IT services market over the same period.

“Ingram Micro is committed to delivering the finest solutions and best practices in the cloud,” said Werner Grum, director DACHH, Ingram Micro Cloud. “The Cloud Marketplace opens up new opportunities for our channel partners who can immediately leverage our automated platform to drive quicker time to market and stronger profitability. We intend to rapidly broaden our global footprint with cloud offerings from global players and create a local and regional ecosystem with cloud services to address growing market demand.”
