Cloud provider IntelePeer has announced a partnership with Chinook Communications to integrate IntelePeer CoreCloud SIP Trunking with the hosted Microsoft Lync unified communications deployments offered by Chinook.
“We are seeing a paradigm shift among small and medium-sized businesses from premise-based communications to hosted Microsoft Lync deployments due to the tremendous advantages the cloud offers in terms of flexibility, scale and advanced capabilities,” said Steve Schwartz, CEO of Chinook. “IntelePeer has a proven track record of supporting the full range of Microsoft Lync multimedia and collaboration features, ensuring communications are delivered with the highest level of quality and reliability.”
IntelePeer is qualified to meet the Microsoft Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program (UCOIP) requirements and provides turnkey SIP trunking solutions for hosted Microsoft Lync deployments. IntelePeer’s trunks can deliver a connection to any Microsoft Lync deployment as well as to any public switched telephone network (PSTN) communications device through its CloudWorx platform.
“As a Microsoft Lync service provider, Chinook Communications provides small businesses the same level of communications sophistication associated with large corporations — but at a cost an entrepreneur can afford,” said Margaret Norton, general manager of enterprises for IntelePeer. “The combination of our cloud-based SIP trunking connections with hosted Microsoft Lync helps small businesses use their communications system as a revenue-generating asset, instead of a cost center.”
