Masergy Communications has launched the Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) cloud videoconferencing service, which is WebRTC enabled.
VMR, available via the company’s channel partners, is an alternative to complex, in-room conferencing systems and does not require prior account registration or app downloads associated with typical free video calling services.
VMR is fully integrated with Masergy’s unified communications and global private network solutions–enabling customers to use their preferred device: smartphone, tablet, PC or video system. In addition, VMR allows each participant to use multiple devices on the same call and move seamlessly between them without disrupting communications. Additional VMR capabilities include:
- Ability to add up to 25 sites, people or locations to a video conference
- Security provisions to ensure the confidentiality of meetings
- UC-based presence, instant messaging and content sharing
“Businesses need to improve collaboration and accelerate decision-making among employees, customers and partners,” said Dean Manzoori, vice president of product management at Masergy. “Our latest cloud-based innovation enables enterprises to democratize workgroup collaboration by making video communications simple, affordable and now–truly ubiquitous.”
