Matrix, a provider of cloud computing and data center services, signed a high-volume contract for the commercialization of Acronis’ cybersecurity and data protection solutions.
The contract extends the right to use and commercialize the Matrix to technologies based on big data and artificial intelligence, used to protect against data hijacking attacks (ransomware); among other virtual attacks, on the rise during the pandemic period.
“The change in the workplace after the pandemic period has a permanent effect. Companies were forced to join remote work in a very short period of time. This opened a security breach: Our studies show that one-third of companies in Brazil are experiencing data attacks at least once a week during the pandemic,” said Carlos Felício, COO of Matrix.
Matrix has used Acronis technologies on its customers since 2019, protecting more than 90,000 devices, and four petabytes of data. With the signing of the new agreement, Matrix becomes the main Acronis partner in Brazil, and one of the largest in Latin America.
