MDSL, the provider of market data management (MDM) and telecom expense management (TEM) solutions, has appointed Lou DeMaio as COO for its Americas operations.
Additional appointments include Simon Thomson, who moves to a new position as CAO & chief alliance officer. In his new role, Thomson will be responsible not just for day-to-day business administration but also for MDSL’s expanding channel partners program in the region.
DeMaio joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was director and global head of market data service delivery. During his time with Deutsche Bank, he pioneered a range of defining projects across four global teams, 300 vendors and 14,000+ end-users. His achievements include the complete rebuild of the bank’s Thomson Reuters distribution platform, and leading its off-shoring and near-shoring initiatives in India and in Jacksonville, Florida to deliver services to all Deutsche Bank offices globally.
DeMaio will be responsible for leading MDSL’s U.S. operations and growing the company’s market data managed services activities globally.
“We are delighted to welcome Lou DeMaio into the U.S. management team,” said Ben Mendoza, MDSL CEO and founder. “We are experiencing marked growth in all regions, and particularly in the U.S., where we’re seeing significant take-up of our managed services propositions across all the sectors in which we operate. Lou’s proven experience of service delivery can only add further to MDSL’s capabilities and our customer’s confidence in our services.”
Mendoza added, “We are also particularly pleased to see Simon Thomson lead our Alliances Programme in the USA. Our relationship with technology and channel partners is an increasingly critical component of MDSL’s ongoing growth as these partnerships help us to develop our ability to execute in new markets like M2M.”
