MegaPath has appointed a new channel chief: Matthew Hutchinson will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of MegaPath’s worldwide channel sales operations as vice president of channel sales.
Hutchinson is tasked with ensuring that MegaPath’s multi-tiered channel sales program continues to grow while offering its partners sales and technology resources to address their customers’ communications and networking challenges. VARs, master agents, solution providers and independent IP consultants can participate at a level tailored to their specific business model. Hutchinson will work closely with MegaPath’s sales partners to further align the company’s corporate objectives with those of the channel to bring innovative service offerings to customers.

Hutchinson has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry, having most recently served as director of sales and channel marketing for 8×8. He has also held executive channel positions at Logitech, Hewlett Packard and HJN telecom in addition to a variety of other sales and marketing roles at Clarity, a Division of Plantronics Inc., Nortel, Lucent and CellularONE Boston.
Hutchinson holds a B.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University and an MBA from The University of New Mexico with a concentration in Technology Management. He resides in the Bay area of Northern California.
