Wi-Fi networking specialist Meru Networks has appointed Don Trimble as vice president of the small-to-medium enterprise (SME) cloud subscription business. Trimble will be tasked with establishing a cloud-delivered wireless networking business focused on channel partners selling Wi-Fi as a Service (WaaS) to the SME market on a subscription basis.

Trimble was previously vice president of channel sales at 8X8, and before that, was senior director of North American channel sales at N Computing. he has also held positions as director of Americas channel sales at HP, and vice president of North America channel sales at Polycom. He also held senior sales and channel positions at Cisco and 3Com.
Trimble holds a BS in mathematics from the University of Vermont.
