MetTel has appointed Eric Harvey as senior director of strategic channels.
“We set out to find an industry leader who could identify new opportunities for MetTel’s strategic channel team while still prioritizing the company’s core values and customer service expectations,” said Marshall Aronow, CEO at MetTel. “We’re excited to bring Eric onto the team, who will bring his channel experience from managing master agencies to handling consultants in various telecommunications and IT technology-driven spaces. We look forward to growing our channel team through Eric’s leadership and expertise in the arena.”
Prior to joining MetTel, Harvey led sales, marketing and channel teams at Primus Telecommunications Group, Sprint, The Beacon Group and most recently, Fusion. In his role, Harvey will showcase the skills he developed during his years cultivating direct relationships through selling local and international services. Harvey has proactively driven channel programs from traditional telecommunication services to newer technology, and has experience with cloud-based offerings including SIP trunking, hosted PBX, cloud-computing services and mobility.
“MetTel is in a fantastic position to grow their channel program, and I am excited to be the person to advance it,” said Harvey. “The company’s wide-ranging and renowned customer service offering is what drew me here – the value MetTel places in customer satisfaction is clear, from simple support all the way to continually innovating its products and services to keep up with the market. I believe MetTel’s offerings are above and beyond other organizations in the industry, and I look forward to leading the charge to make MetTel the go-to communications provider.”
In his role, Harvey will work to expand MetTel’s channel partner base, both from an existing customer perspective and within new audiences, and will also help to grow MetTel’s internal channel team under the leadership of Timothy Hanley, vice president of strategic channels at MetTel.
Harvey holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ithaca College. He made the move to the Boston area in June 2015 where he currently resides with his wife and young son, and will work out of MetTel’s newly expanded Providence office. After work, you may find Harvey playing music gigs around Boston.
