MicroCorp has acquired and integrated the services and capabilities of Open Spectrum through an equity investment, creating a cloud services division and providing its channel partners with a consultancy resource for SMB and enterprise opportunities.
Open Spectrum founder and CEO Sean Patrick Tario will join MicroCorp’s senior leadership team and spearhead the division, which will specialize in colocation, hosted, hybrid, cloud, security, IaaS, Hosted Desktop and DRaaS solutions. Open Spectrum’s professional services experience includes complex risk assessments, TCO and security audits of both owned and third party hosted infrastructure environments.
“MicroCorp and Open Spectrum have been working together for two years to provide true cloud consulting services with our partners under the Solutions Alliance program,” commented MicroCorp president Phil Keenan. “We are now taking this proven model to a new level by bringing Open Spectrum into the MicroCorp family and creating a dedicated Cloud Services Division, helping our partners to transform their businesses with confidence in this rapidly evolving business landscape.”
This expansion of MicroCorp’s capabilities will bring consultative sales expertise to channel partners based on marketplace intelligence, proprietary training and marketing resources from Open Spectrum. Tario and the Open Spectrum team authored and delivered the infrastructure and hosted training at MicroCorp’s Ultimate Partner Training, which will continue with the formation of the new division.
“We are beyond thrilled to join MicroCorp,” Tario stated. “While most master agencies today are attempting to create the illusion that their agents can become experts in all IT engineering disciplines, MicroCorp has chosen to take a more strategic approach that creates far greater value to both agencies and their customers. Within MicroCorp, our focus will be on cloud and hybrid hosting solutions. We now bring strategic account engagement, training, market intelligence, marketing collateral and industry expertise to the table on-demand for all MicroCorp partners.”
