Unified Communications specialist Mitel has named Bob Agnes as executive vice president and general manager of Mitel’s Asia Pacific (APAC) operations. Agnes will focus on expanding Mitel market share in this key geography. He will be based in Hong Kong.
“We continue to strengthen Mitel’s regional leadership and capabilities worldwide as we build out our global footprint,” said Rich McBee, CEO at Mitel. “Bob Agnes has deep experience in successfully growing businesses and is a strong addition to Mitel, heading up our growing business in Asia Pacific.”
With more than 30 years of experience, Agnes has managed regional teams around the world, with a strong focus on Asia Pacific. He has led operations for several mobile technology and equipment manufacturing companies with a focus on growth. Most recently he was vice president of Tektronix in Shanghai.
“Mitel is experiencing incredible momentum and continues to grow globally. Asia Pacific represents a significant opportunity to expand Mitel’s leadership in business communications. I’m looking forward to build on that momentum and leadership to grow Mitel’s presence in Asia Pacific with a focus on strategic markets,” said Agnes.
