Telecom agents and technology solution providers are positioning themselves for growth in cloud computing, consulting services and other recurring revenue business opportunities. As a result, business transformation is a recurring theme across the channel.
Traditional VARs are looking for ways to become less reliant on transactional product sales and more proficient at selling services that deliver a continuing stream of revenue. Telecom agents are meanwhile trying to gain more share of wallet from previously IT-only functions.
We all knew this to be true anecdotally, but CompTIA research has confirmed that most (nearly 80 percent) of U.S. channel firms have experienced some transformative activity in their business model.
Accordingly, CompTIA has created three new courses around the business transformation theme.
“Even with this level of activity, ‘business transformation’ can be a mysterious and potentially scary concept for some channel partners,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president of events and education at CompTIA. “We’re taking away the fear factor about business transformation through new educational offerings based on proven, successful transformation strategies channel companies have used.”
The Quick Start Session to Business Agility offers an overview of IT market dynamics, learn how to evaluate market developments and assess how those dynamics can affect their business strategy.
The Quick Start Session to Understanding Your Balance Sheet explains how balance sheet information can help business owners make more informed decisions.
And, the CompTIA Executive Certificate in Financial Management discusses how to mine common business reports for business intelligence, implement best practices to maximize profitability and develop strategies for healthy, sustainable growth.
