NetApp has launched the NetApp SteelStore appliance and the NetApp Cloud ONTAP system, on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Enterprises have additional options to extend their existing on-premises data management and data protection operations to AWS.

Together, NetApp and AWS are bridging customers’ on-premises infrastructures with the massive scale and on-demand flexibility that AWS Cloud provides.”
The NetApp Cloud ONTAP system on AWS enables customers to control their data in the cloud with the same management features of the NetApp Data ONTAPÂ operating system and a familiar set of interfaces and tools they use on the premises today. Customers can also replace their traditional backup, archive, and recovery solutions with NetApp SteelStore cloud-integrated storage to securely and efficiently back up and recover their business data on AWS.
