Managed telecom service provider Nitel has expanded its nationwide network with two additional Points of Presence (POPs). The Dallas location opened at 1950 N Stemmons Pkwy, while the Denver PoP is housed at 910 15th St in the heart of downtown Denver.
The new locations strengthen coverage throughout the south and western U.S with extended reach and better access to regional carriers.
Nitel also recently announced a network expansion of 70,000 buildings lit with Ethernet connectivity. This brings the total number of buildings lit with competitive fiber to over 150,000 – a 51% increase in total network coverage over the previous year.
Nitel’s nationwide IP network delivers Internet, metro Ethernet, voice, and MPLS to business clients nationwide through 67 core and access POPs across the country. Nitel’s other core PoP locations include Chicago, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles, with future locations planned for 2014.
