Nitel has announced that Nate James has been named vice president of account management.

A telecom executive with more than 15 years of experience in business development and sales, James will oversee Nitel’s national account development organization. He will focus on establishing programs and initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience.

“Nitel is continuing to differentiate itself in the marketplace through the investments we are making in how we interact with our customers,” said Rick Stern, CEO, Nitel. “While others in the industry are divesting and consolidating efforts, Nitel is investing in the people, tools and resources that enable partner success and enhance the customer experience. We are pleased to welcome Nate James to the Nitel team, and look forward to leveraging his experience as we expand our reach and relevance among our channel partners, and across the broader communications industry.”

James joins Nitel from Windstream, where he most recently served as regional director of channel account management, overseeing the company’s account development team for the Southeast U.S. region. Earlier in his career, he held account management and sales support positions at NuVox, which was acquired by Windstream in 2010.

“I have had the privilege of working with Nate James for over 15 years,” said Randy Friedberg, EVP of sales and marketing, Converged Network Services Group (CNSG). “Nate’s tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication to supporting partners and their customers makes him one of the best customer advocates in the business. CNSG partners are in good hands with Nate leading Nitel’s account management team.”
