Boutique IP distributor Novus LLC has announced that it has begun selling the Presence line of UC headsets by Sennheiser.
The Presence series encompasses two premium Bluetooth headsets for mobile professionals, the Presence UC (for unified communications) and Presence UC ML (for Microsoft Lync). The UC line is fully compatible with all leading UC platforms, and are designed for multi-connectivity, so they can switch easily between softphone and mobile calls.
“Sennheiser is known the world over for their top-notch engineering and unmatched sound quality,” said Chris Meehan, managing partner at Novus. “They’ve been a longtime partner and we are happy to offer our customers their latest innovation, the Presence line of UC headsets.”
Both models, which more resemble earpieces than traditional headsets, use three digital microphones and “SpeakFocus” technology, which detects a user’s voice while filtering out background noise. They also incorporate Sennheiser’s “WindSafe” technology, which reduces ambient wind noise in outdoor environments. The headsets also feature 10-hour talk time, a range of more than 80 feet and voice prompt capability.
To pair the earpiece with a smartphone, users hold down the S button on the earpiece and scan the smartphone for the device. Each headset is also paired with a USB dongle for plug-and-play switching from smartphones to computer.
Meehan continued, “The Presence UC ML model further expands our portfolio of Microsoft Lync hardware, which is grown significantly over the past year as we meet enterprise demand for a comprehensive unified communications platform.”
