Onvoy Launches SIP Trunking

Onvoy LLC has launched its SIP trunking product, available via channel partners.

The business VoIP solution, designed for resale by RLECs, MSPs and VARs, supports growing communications demands and evolving business requirements. Service providers can deliver local and long distance service via SIP trunks using their business customers’ existing PBX and broadband service.

The Onvoy SIP trunking solution yields a lower-cost alternative to analog or PRI voice circuits provided from the incumbent carrier, allows for the addition of trunks incrementally across multiple locations, and includes seamless migration of a customer’s existing telephone numbers. Service providers can sell and manage the offering via the Onvoy’s customer lifecycle management platform, Atlas. Additionally, end customers are equipped with a self-service portal to administer their trunking options, thus reducing support calls for service providers.

“SIP trunking is a great way for customers with existing on premise PBXs to retain their investment, while positioning themselves to take full advantage of cloud communications when they are ready,” said Gary Wilson, director of product management for Onvoy. “SIP trunking offers lower telecommunications costs, but at the same time, improves on existing services with features like failover in the cloud.”
