Ooma Integrates Business Phone Service with Zapier

Ooma Inc., a provider of advanced communications services for businesses and consumers, has integrated its Ooma Office business phone service with Zapier, an automation platform that helps users enable workflows with more than 8,000 apps, including automating repetitive tasks like logging calls or sharing updates.

With the integration, Ooma Office administrators can connect their Ooma account within Zapier and access key Ooma Triggers such as new call, SMS and call recording events. Once configured, the triggers can access any of the Zapier supported apps and trigger actions in other tools, like sending a Slack alert or logging data in Google Sheets, the company said.

The Ooma Office integration also supports Actions. For example, Zapier can receive a new contact added event notification from Google and save it as a personal contact in Ooma Office. In addition, to enhance Ooma Office productivity, the company has built 18 integrations with a wide range of business productivity applications including Salesforce, QuickBooks and Square.

“We’re excited to see what our customers can do with the freedom and power of automated workflows built with Zapier,” said Dennis Peng, senior vice president of product management at Ooma. “We expect they’ll find ways to make Ooma Office more productive, which feedback will allow us make Office even stronger.”

The Ooma Office integration with Zapier is available now in the United States and Canada and is included at no extra cost as part of the Ooma Office Pro Plus service plan, the company said.
