Optical networking specialist Optelian has named Rupy Bhoi as director of sales in Canada. Bhoi is a senior sales executive with over more than 20 years of experience in products, applications and services in the North American telecommunications industry.
In his new role with Optelian, Bhoi will work closely with Optelian’s existing Canadian customers to continue Optelian’s growth in the Canadian market and further develop Optelian’s Canadian sales team.

Prior to joining Optelian, Bhoi was the director of sales in Canada for Ekinops Corporation, where he was the advanced technology sales lead for Layer 1 opportunities in the carrier marketplace for 100G DWDM applications. He also established strategic benchmark tests with Canadian carriers for lab and field trials.
From access to core, passive to packet, and 100M to 100G, Mr. Bhoi will manage and grow the Canadian footprint of Optelian’s Intuitive Packet Optical Networking and services portfolio, including the MPX-9110 Flexible 100G Platform, the PKX-1640 Packet Networking Card, the FLX-1610 Multi-protocol Networking Card and the platforms that support Optelian’s LightFLEX family of ROADMs, amplifiers, balancing/conditioning for long-haul, passive elements and node intelligence.
