Cloud-based infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider PeakColo has appointed former Insight exec Dave Woodward as senior vice president of sales.
“Peak has seen tremendous growth over the past few years in large part due to its unique 100 percent channel-centric partnership model, as well as the surge in adoption of cloud computing services,” said Woodward. “With Peak, distributors, VARs and agents all have the opportunity to cost-effectively enable cloud services for their end-users, and Peak is fully dedicated to helping them build out robust practices.”
At Insight, one of the world’s largest technology distributors, Woodward led more than 1,000 people across sales, operations and sales engineering as senior vice president of U.S. sales at Insight. He also held positions as regional vice president of sales and delivery at Calence, regional channel manager at Cisco Systems and global sales manager at Lucent Technologies. His role at Peak places him at the sales helm, tasked with establishing and growing key relationships within the technology partner and channel communities.
“Dave knows what it takes to develop and deliver value added services across the channel marketplace,” said Luke Norris, co-founder and CEO for PeakColo. “With his vast sales leadership experience, and enablement of award-winning channel programs, Peak can continue to provide sales support to the reseller community that is second to none – creating competitive differentiation and driving profitability for all.”
The company has a 100 percent channel-dedicated model: providers are able to white-label Peak’s cloud as their own to leverage virtualization and storage technologies.
