NEW YORK – Perseus Telecom, a global provider of connectivity, announced the appointment of Dan Watkins as Director of Business Development.
Watkins joins the Perseus Telecom team to expand its financial services customer base and oversee strategic partnerships and business development with key alliances throughout the industry.
He brings to the job more than 12 years of telecommunications and high-speed enterprise expertise in global financial markets. Prior to joining Perseus, Watkins was the founder and managing director of CC-Speed, a New York-based consulting firm focused on the business development and marketing of financial services applications and technology that accelerates trading performance.
Watkins has a strong market intelligence portfolio and experience working with the drivers of the sub-millisecond world including leading stock and derivatives exchanges, investment banks, asset managers and the technology vendors that they rely on for transmission of services.
He also has worked in leadership capacities at Solace Systems, Telx, Sidera Networks, XtremeData, CMA and BT Radianz.
