RingCentral Inc. a provider of global enterprise cloud communications, video meetings, collaboration, and contact center solutions, announced it has acquired DeepAffects, a conversational intelligence pioneer that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze business conversations and extract meaningful insights.

The DeepAffects platform includes these capabilities:
- Multi-modal emotion recognition – Recognizes core emotions and sentiments directly from voice
- Multi-speaker recognition and voiceprints – Identifies an individual person based on the unique characteristics of the voice
- Speech recognition with accent detection – Converts audio to text by applying neural network models; It recognizes multiple languages and variants to support a global user base with an accent-aware speech recognition that can transcribe a non-native English speaker’s audio
