Riverbed has announced the promotion of Brecht Seurinck to VP channel sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The U.S. networking vendor said one of Seurinck’s top responsibilities will be driving partner engagement in relation to its alliance partnership with Microsoft.
“Seurinck will also have the responsibility to lead Riverbed’s continued focus on service providers, system integrators and alliances in EMEA this year, particularly strengthening the long-time strategic partnership with Microsoft,” said SVP EMEA Elie Dib.
Seurinck also will lead a new EMEA initiative for the vendor: a centralized inside sales representative function.
“This team will work very closely with our distributors and partners to drive new business opportunities in the market,” Dib added.
Seurinck is an inside hire having been with Riverbed for six years. Before this promotion, he was president of Riverbed’s NTT alliance group business. Based in Belgium, Seurinck has formerly held senior channel leadership positions in Ipanema Technologies and Vanco Belux.
