Saviynt Names Identity Security Expert Henrique Teixeira SVP of Strategy

Saviynt, a leading provider of cloud-native identity and governance platform solutions, recently named former Gartner analyst Henrique Teixeira senior vice president of strategy. Teixeira is now responsible for setting Saviynt’s future direction and long term identity and access management roadmap, including messaging, defining and leading research, advisory and thought leadership, as well as supporting Saviynt’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) development and working closely with customers.

Teixeira brings more than two decades of identity and cybersecurity expertise and leadership to Saviynt. Most recently, Teixeira was VP of research for IAM at Gartner. Prior to his time at Gartner, Teixeira was IBM’s worldwide security architect leader for IAM. He also held numerous architect and leadership roles at Microsoft, Oracle, CA Technologies and BMC Software.

Organizations have increasingly turned to Saviynt’s Identity Cloud to maximize return on investment (ROI), lower costs, reduce complexity, and streamline IAM processes. The company’s major cloud platform capabilities build on key areas of identity governance, privileged access management (PAM) and identity analytics and intelligence to help organizations embrace Zero Trust principles.

ChannelVision caught up with chief product and strategy officer Jeff Margolies to learn more about the Saviynt’s growing partner program, and the value that Teixeira brings to the organization.

ChannelVision: Tell us about Saviynt’s partner program. What can we look forward to in 2024?

Jeff Margolies: 2023 was a pivotal year for the Saviynt Partner Program. The company saw an increase in significant contributions at all stages of the sales cycle for partners, drove new routes to market, onboarded new partners, drove sales velocity, and increased partner activity on its support forums and Saviynt Exchange Marketplace. The completion of FedRAMP also helped increase federal go-to-market.

In 2024, we’ll continue to focus on helping partners in their journey to the cloud as they move from legacy security providers to a true, born-in-the-cloud solution. We look forward to continuing to invest strength in our partner program to enhance the program’s effectiveness and value for partners. More to come in the second half of the year.

CV: What does Henrique’s addition mean to the company?

JM: We’re thrilled to have Henrique join Saviynt as our SVP of Strategy. Henrique brings an impressive 25 years of experience in cybersecurity managing identities, as well as valuable insights gained from advising CISOs and other security leaders during his tenure at Gartner. But even more importantly, Henrique brings passion and a personal commitment to solving the longstanding problem of identity security.  Henrique’s strategic guidance will help Saviynt fulfill our goal of making identity management an enabler for all companies. We want to create a super secure and frictionless experience for our customers and their users. This is Saviynt’s vision, and with Henrique’s help, we will achieve it.

To add to this, recently at RSA, Saviynt unveiled its Identity Cloud, an intelligent, converged identity platform that addresses all of a company’s identity types – human and machine, physical and digital – in one place. The Identity Cloud, which consolidates IGA, IAM, PAM and other Identity Security capabilities in a single platform, is designed to help companies accelerate their digital and cloud transformation, seamlessly transitioning from multiple, costly legacy solutions that don’t scale.

Henrique is especially passionate about IGA, which is the technology that allows organizations to onboard, move and offboard users in an efficient and secure way. Without IGA, organizations lack the necessary plumbing for processes to flow; it’s the same as running a country without potable water. Henrique will be instrumental in defining the future direction of Saviynt’s Identity Cloud, including IGA, but all other capabilities as well, making sure we’re meeting the most important requirements of our customers, and moving towards our goal of making identity security frictionless and accessible to all.

CV: How does Henrique’s addition impact partners?

JM: Saviynt is a partner-first company, and we’ve made immense investments throughout 2024 to expand every level of our channel program. However, it’s of course crucial to offer products that best solve the challenges faced by our partners’ customers.  Henrique’s joining Saviynt brings exceptional credibility and weight to our ability to define and solve our customers’ identity security problems.

Henrique will work closely with our channel partners and customers to learn and share insights on their identity security issues, assuring that Saviynt understands, and will deliver, the capabilities our customers need to successfully grow their businesses and thrive. And with access to the industry’s leading identity security expert, our partners can position themselves to their customers as identity experts and trusted partners who are best qualified to help solve their customers’ identity security issues.
