SilverSky, a multi-service cybersecurity provider that serves regulated and compliance-driven organizations, has hired Strickland Jones as strategic partner manager and Jake Smallwood as senior sales engineer.
“As demand for both security and compliance management continues to grow across the SME and mid-market landscape, SilverSky is strengthening both the relationship and technical layers of its partner organization to better support MSPs, resellers, technology advisors and technology brokerage firms,” the company said.
Jones joins SilverSky with experience across wholesale and enterprise technology markets, including voice, data and cloud services. Throughout his career, he’s worked within partner-driven environments, supporting agents and providers navigating complex technology ecosystems. At SilverSky, he’ll focus on deepening strategic partner alignment, wholesale partnership development, and strengthening collaboration across the channel, officials said.
Smallwood has more than 15 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, network engineering and pre-sales technical consulting. His background includes SD-WAN architecture, unified communications and security-focused infrastructure design. In his role, he’ll provide channel-focused engineering support, helping partners align networking and security architectures with SilverSky’s managed security and MXDR offerings, the company said.
“Partners have the incredible ability to monetize the increasingly abundant and complex market demands for both cybersecurity and industry specific compliance management,” said Bruce Wirt, chief revenue officer at SilverSky. “Strengthening our partner ecosystem requires both relationship alignment and technical execution. Strickland expands our market reach and collaboration depth, while Jake enhances the technical foundation behind our channel strategy.”
Jones indicated he appreciated SilverSky’s structured approach to partnership. “Partners are looking for operational credibility and long-term alignment,” Jones said. “SilverSky’s experience securing regulated organizations and its disciplined service model create a strong foundation for sustainable growth within the channel.”
“As infrastructure and security become increasingly integrated, partners need technical clarity and architectural alignment,” added Smallwood. “SilverSky’s managed services and MXDR model provide a consistent, operationally mature framework that supports partners and their customers.”
