TD SYNNEX, a global distributor and solutions aggregator for the IT ecosystem, named Reyna Thompson as president, North America. This change takes place effective Dec. 1, following the departure of Peter Larocque. Larocque will transition to an advisory role one day prior.
“Peter has been a cornerstone of TD SYNNEX for 40 years, contributing significantly to the company’s growth as one of the longest-serving co-workers on our team,” said TD SYNNEX CEO, Patrick Zammit. “Throughout that time, he has consistently been a champion for our company, our customers, our vendors and the industry at large. As Peter enters his next chapter, he leaves an impressive legacy of service – whether mentoring thousands of co-workers or making a profound impact on local communities through TD SYNNEX Share the Magic , which has raised over $25 million for nonprofits focused on serving children. I appreciate his support through this transition and look forward to his continued guidance.”
For her part, Thompson joined TD SYNNEX in 1993, and most recently led the North America Advanced Solutions unit, which focuses on cloud, security, data/AI and data center solutions. This team, it was noted, supports innovative technologies and services that enable over 12,000 channel partners through an array of programs and practices.
“Reyna has built an impressive track record over the past three decades through her unwavering commitment to driving success for both vendors and customers,” said Zammit. “She is a true champion for our partners known for her innovative and collaborative thinking, and we look forward to the value she will deliver for our stakeholders in this new role.”
She also serves on the board for Elevate, a TD SYNNEX business resource group focused on elevating and mentoring women.
