Tech Valley Communications (TVC), a wholesale provider and CLEC in in Upstate New York and Northern New England, today announced the appointment of Robert “Bob” Cochran as senior director of sales engineering.
Cochran will drive and manage the technical solution development on behalf of the sales organization, as a key technical advisor. With 15 years of experience in sales engineering and network design engineering within the communications industry, he will also provide support on network integration and technology initiatives.
“As Tech Valley Communications’ network and service set expand, we are pleased to welcome Bob Cochran to our leadership team,” said Patrick Coughlin, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Tech Valley. “Bob has a vast knowledge of and considerable experience in sales engineering and network design. He understands the needs of both carrier and large enterprises and excels at creating custom, tailored solutions designed to support those needs.”
Prior to joining Tech Valley, Cochran served as manager of systems engineering and senior systems engineer for Sidera Networks (now Lightower) from 2007 to 2013. Prior to his roles at Sidera, he served as senior network solutions engineer and senior network engineer for NEON Communications, from 2001 to 2007.
