Telarix Inc. is kicking off 2013 with the addition of two 20+- year veterans to the sales and marketing management team.
To lead North America expansion, Telarix has named John Belanger, who comes from his position as senior vice president of sales for Intelepeer. Before that, he was with France Telecom and MCI.
“John joins Telarix with an in-depth understanding of how the domestic and international markets are merging and the technology required to make that evolution occur,” Telarix noted.
In addition, Telarix has added John Tolton as the new leader of the Asia-Pacific market, whose sales and marketing experience include stints at iBasis, KPN and Arbinet.
Belanger and Tolton are joining an existing sales management team that includes Wolfram Thielen, who has been with the company for more than 10 years as vice president for Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa, and Luciano Garavaglia, recently named vice president for Latin and South America.
“It’s rare to find people who understand next generation technology and the requirements required to ensure a carriers commercial success, both Mr. Belanger’s and Mr. Tolton’s previous experience and vast network of contacts gives them the understanding needed to helps carriers achieve success,” said Vic Bozzo, Telarix’s senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
Telarix closed out 2012 with the announcement of a SaaS model for its iXLink product, which enables carriers, resellers and emerging market providers to automate their wholesale interconnect purchase processes, and iXTools, which processes over 150 billion voice, SMS, content and data minutes each year for carriers to help them identify optimal routing strategies for interconnect traffic.
It also reported record sales for the iXTools product as well as a new EcoSystem Partnership Program.
