After rigorous testing, private networking solutions delivered over TelePacific’s own network Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) and Ethernet Private Line (EPL) services have both earned MEF CE 2.0 services certification.
These two advanced Ethernet service delivery solutions, available via the carrier’s channe partners, expand Ethernet point-to-point and multipoint connectivity options for businesses with multiple locations.
Ethernet is increasingly becoming the preferred way for businesses, particularly those with more than one office, to provision and maintain both voice and data communications because of its security, simplicity, bandwidth and cost-effectiveness.
“TelePacific made a conscious decision to broaden our traditional telecom expertise and fully embrace what we see as the wider Ethernet ecosystem,” said Anthony Thakur, vice president of network engineering for Wholesales Sales and Client Services. “MEF CE 2.0 certification sets the bar for carriers who want to provide advanced Ethernet to domestic and international retail and wholesale customers. We’re proud to be in the vanguard of carriers delivering MEF CE 2.0 certified EPL and VPLS services that perform up to those exacting standards.”
TelePacific plans to expand its participation in the MEF CE 2.0 certification program as it works to test and certify additional services.
