Telesystem to Purchase Assets of MSP VoxNet

Telesystem reached an agreement to acquire the assets of VoxNet, a Pennsylvania-based managed services provider. VoxNet, it was noted, was previously part of the holdings of Helm Partners. The firm specifically provides unified communications (UC), managed security and internet access services for its end-user customers in 38 U.S. states.

For its part, Telesystem provides communications, collaboration, infrastructure and managed security solutions with a focus on multi-site, multi-product and fully managed implementations. The company has a nationwide network of more than 40 points of presence, 100 network-to-network interface appearances with other providers and “always-on” DDoS mitigation at major internet ingress and egress points.

Acquired customers will gain access to enhanced functionality via Telesystem’s UC platforms, added geographic redundancy and access to advanced SD-WAN and managed security products.

“This acquisition represents our desire to acquire customers in strategic markets that are a fit for managed solutions,” said EVP and Chief Business Development Officer, Bruce Wirt.  “We came out of the pandemic in a very strong position to supplement our organic growth with strategic acquisitions, especially where we can acquire customers that fit our target profile.”

Meanwhile, President and CEO, John Martin noted that Telesystem’s “national growth strategy is comprised of organic and inorganic means of growth. We hope to repeat activities like this in markets across the United States.”
