Cybersecurity, networking and communication solutions provider Telesystem announced that former NBA Slam Dunk Champion (1986), Spud Webb will appear at the company’s trade show booth at the annual Channel Partners Expo (CPE), March 12-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Webb, in addition to the booth appearance, will take part in a private keynote and meet-and-greet event with select customers and partners.
A fourth-round pick (1985) of the Detroit Pistons, Webb’s 14-year career in the NBA included stints with the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings. Standing at 5’6″, Webb is tied for the fourth-shortest player in NBA history, and is the shortest to ever compete in the NBA Slam Dunk contest. Through hard work and dedication, he became one of the most notable players in NBA history.
“Giving partners something other than trade show giveaways destined for the hotel trash bin is extremely important to me,” said Telesystem CRO, Bruce Wirt. “We don’t have the name recognition of some of our large competitors, so we try to give partners great reasons to stop by and take a look into our value proposition. For years we accomplished that with WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart, but this year we wanted to do something fresh. Spud Webb is an engaging personality that embodies what is possible when you work hard at improving yourself every day. I believe partners will be inspired by the story he has to tell; I can’t wait!”
