Telstra has promoted Jason Kitzmiller to vice president of channel sales, Americas.
In 2015 Telstra acquired Pacnet and announced a renewed and significant focus on channel partnerships to support U.S.-based companies connecting to the Asia-Pacific region.
Since joining Pacnet in 2013, Kitzmiller has been a driving force behind the rapid expansion of Pacnet’s channel program, and brings more than a decade of experience within the channel as well as extensive international sales experience to the table.
Through Telstra, agents now have access to the largest data center footprint in Asia-Pacific, as well as more than 2,000 global PoPs reaching over 230 countries and territories, with particularly deep coverage in China.
Telstra’s head of U.S. Enterprise, Cardi Prinzi, has stressed the importance of a leveraging partners with proven experience and capability when doing business in Asia-Pacific.
“The importance of partnerships in Asia-Pacific cannot be overstated,” he said. “The region can be complex and difficult to do business in, but the opportunity to earn significant revenues is absolutely there. In the past month, Kitzmiller also has recruited additional channel directors to the team:
Kit Carker has joined as channel director, Central Region, based in Dallas. He brings more than 10 years in channel sales experience, with stints at ANPI, One Ring Networks, Airband and Level 3.
Anthin Zito joins Telstra from Megaport and will be responsible for the Northwest and Mountain States region. Anthin’s most recent roles include channel director and cloud strategy director.
Kitzmiller’s growing team also includes Dennis Calderwood, channel director, California; and Marco Mancuso, channel director, East. Both Calderwood and Mancuso joined Pacnet in 2014. Calderwood has 15 years of channel experience, and was instrumental in expanding Pacnet’s channel program. Mancuso brings nearly 20 years of sales experience to the team.
