TrapX Launches Security Partner Program

TrapX Security has announced a partner program for its remediation services, compliance reporting and professional services when it comes to offering protection against zero-day malware and advanced persistent threats.

Recent cybersecurity attacks on Target, Michaels, eBay and others have revealed that cybercriminals—whether individuals, crime syndicates, or nation-state actors—can readily bypass the perimeter security solutions on the market today–prompting an increased demand on investment for security solutions. Providing customers with an integrated threat intelligence picture of real-time events is critical considering the velocity of modern attacks.

“Our partners have the instant reach and scalability to bring our disruptive security capabilities to market and support our mutual customers,” said Mark Cashman, vice president of channel sales at TrapX. “Our go-to-market strategy is built around the channel and we know our partners are best able to support our mutual customers.”

With the introduction of the Trapx Security Operation Center (TSOC), available on Google Cloud Platform, partners can deploy secure SOCs and sensors on-demand, rather than in a premise-based configuration.

The new partner program complements existing TrapX channel technology, sales and fulfillment processes, the company said, with three ways to partner. As a managed security service provider (MSSP), a partner can offer TrapX HoneyGrid capabilities under a monthly subscription model. As a VAR, it can resell TrapX Adaptive Defense technologies. A company can also act as a strategic technology partner, integrating TrapX technologies with complementary products or services.

TrapX said that it will continue its own marketing and sales activities, turning leads over to partners after qualifying them on business need, sponsorship and funding. It will also offer partners market development funds, and will invest in both sales and product training through joint road shows, lunch and learns, and a partner portal with a configuration tool, sales guides, technical resources, deal registration and other materials.
