Unicon, a provider of operating systems for cloud devices, is expanding its channel team to provide dedicated support to its broad network of technology, sales and OEM partners, resellers and distributors.
Within a year, the team has grown to five employees. Further positions have been posted and are to be filled shortly. With its new employees, the IT company plans to open up new markets and partnerships nationally and globally.
As of April 1, Thomas Duda will strengthen the Unicon team for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Duda has worked in the IT industry for more than 25 years. With his extensive international experience and expertise, he will expand Unicon’s network of distributors and resellers outside the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) region.
Duda most recently served as Vice President Sales and Business Development EMEA & APAC at iPass. Prior to that, he served in various international sales management roles at Hewlett-Packard, The Santa Cruz Operation, Avaya and Novell.
Martin Hummel has been at Unicon since March 7. The graduate in business administration is responsible for the support and expansion of global large resellers. He is responsible for establishing and expanding business relationships at all levels and, in addition to enablement, is primarily responsible for acquiring projects, especially in the areas of finance, public sector, retail and industry.
Hummel has 20 years of in-depth experience in the channel business and mostly has worked on the manufacturer side. Most recently, he was Senior Channel Manager and Regional Sales Manager at Huawei.
Also new to the team is Michaela Ebeling, who joined Unicon on March 1. The 32-year-old is responsible for strategic planning, implementation and management of all channel-to and channel-through marketing campaigns and projects. She also acts as the central coordination point for external service providers and partner management.
Ebeling served as channel marketing manager at Infinigate from 2018 to 2022, where her focus was on MSP and cloud business. She will also bring this experience in to build the MSP program at Unicon, which will be launched soon.
Cross-media marketing initiatives are the specialty of Ebeling, who will provide the Unicon network with information on trends for software solutions in the future.
With Michael Reiß, the Unicon team has been strengthened since December 1. The IT specialist is responsible for the development and expansion of the sales partner channel and is the central point of contact for all Unicon partners.
The 50-year-old was most recently Distribution Manager ACH & EE at LANCOM System and looks back on further professional stations in channel sales at Ocedo/Riverbed, Sophos and Astaro.
Denis Brendelberger has been on board at Unicon for a year and completes the experienced channel team. The 36-year-old has been active in the EMEA channel business and on the vendor side for 10 years. The business economist is responsible for Unicon’s growth in the DACH channel. Before joining Unicon, he spent three years as a senior channel executive for Sophos in the DACH region.
In the six years prior to that, he held various channel positions at Astaro and Sophos in the MEA, Nordics & EE regions.
