Verizon Wireless Certifies Opengear Resilience Gateways

Opengear has announced that the ACM7000-LMV Resilience Gateway has been certified for use across the Verizon Wireless Private Network and are available to channel partners.

The designation means that all cellular-enabled solutions in Opengear’s ACM7000-LMV Resilience Gateway and IM7200-LMV Infrastructure Manager product lines have now been successfully tested and approved by Verizon.

The ACM7000-LMV Resilience Gateway provides out-of-band access to critical IT infrastructure at branch offices, retail stores, and other remote network locations. The solution enables IT administrators to remotely manage, monitor and quickly remediate issues to ensure network uptime. All Resilience Gateways include Opengear’s built-in Smart OOB technology for achieving secure cellular-based out-of-band connectivity, a feature which delivers proactive, automatic detection-and-response to disruptions that can cause network outages. Connectivity is further bolstered by Opengear’s Failover to Cellular capability that uses IP Passthrough technology to ensure transparent failover and failback for uninterrupted access – even when primary connections experience outages.

The Verizon Wireless Private Network provides businesses with an isolated network for connecting their mobile devices – private data is kept separate from public traffic via a direct connection to a company’s internal network. Doing so allows an organization to completely control access to and from this private network. Combined with Opengear’s Resilience Gateway, businesses can quickly implement secure out-of-band management networks with LTE speeds.

“We’re proud to offer customers a full slate of Verizon-certified solutions for secure out-of-band management and network resilience,” said Todd Atherton, carrier sales manager for the Americas at Opengear. “Our goal is make our products work as seamlessly as possible, for as many businesses as possible. Adding certification for the ACM7000-LMV Resilience Gateway across the Verizon Wireless Private Network – in response to customer demand – will bring cellular out-of-band connectivity to more organizations’ branch offices, stores, and other remote locations where network reliability is absolutely critical to business success.”
