Versa SSE, ZTNA Achieve AAA Rating by CyberRatings.org

Universal SASE company Versa announced that its security service edge (SSE) and zero-trust network access (ZTNA) each received a “AAA” rating from CyberRatings.org. The scores – which are the highest offered by the independent testing lab – are based on real-world evaluations for SSE threat protection and ZTNA.

In addition to offering an overall protection rate of 99.96 percent, Versa SSE scored 100 percent in separate tests for exploits, evasions and TLS/SSL functionality. The product was tested to determine how it handled TLS/SSL 1.2 and 1.3 cipher suites, how it defended against 205 exploits and 7,140 malware samples and whether any of 1,124 evasions could bypass its protection. Versa SSE delivered this security with high performance, with HTTPS throughput peaking at 3,253 Mbps. Both clear text and encrypted traffic were measured to provide a more realistic rating based on modern network traffic.

CyberRatings’ independent testing of Versa ZTNA resulted in 100 percent scores for authentication and identity, resource access, routing and policy enforcement and TLS/SSL functionality. The product was tested to determine how it handled authentication and identity using identity providers, how the solution handled resource access by limiting and blocking access to private hidden networks, how it handled routing and policy enforcement and its support for TLS/SSL 1.2 and 1.3 cipher suites.

“Enterprises are increasingly seeking actual test results to validate the solutions they are considering, which is why objective, third-party evaluations are more important than ever,” said Apurva Mehta, Versa co-Founder and CTO. “Independent product testing by CyberRatings.org and others ensures organizations can rely on proven data rather than potentially skewed narratives to make informed purchasing decisions.”
