Channel-friendly operator Windstream has expanded its Wide Area Network (WAN) management service nationwide, which gives enterprise business customers as-it-happens visibility into their WAN traffic. The idea is to enable them to address performance problems faster, make informed infrastructure investments and optimize network connectivity.
The Advanced Application Reporting (AAR) product allows enterprise customers to collect, format and display WAN performance statistics in numerous reporting functions, reflecting network activity for multiple intervals (hour, last day and last week). It also offers detailed reporting metrics of network traffic patterns and assistance in support, troubleshooting, new application deployment and bandwidth planning.
“Offering a solution for IT professionals to access their WAN bandwidth information and intelligence and perform their jobs more efficiently is a priority for Windstream,” said Don Perkins, senior vice president for enterprise business marketing. “We’re proud to offer Advanced Application Reporting to enterprises nationwide and of our commitment to providing superior network communications solutions and operations.”
AAR is geared for multi-site data network service customers including Ethernet Internet, Dedicated Internet, MPLS and VLS services, who are looking to use their bandwidth more efficiently and bolster capacity planning via greater visibility into who and how the network bandwidth is being used. Additionally, AAR provides passive data collection without the need to deploy on-site probes, allowing for access from anywhere in the WAN network, the company said.
