Channel support automation is a goal for many operators looking to woo partners by making it easier to do business. To that end, XO has added new functionality for its agents and VARs, who will be able to apply approved maximum discounts via the MasterStream-UNITY quoting system.
“These latest enhancements will further streamline quoting for the XO Business Partner community by promoting self-service and allowing XO’s local channel managers more time to spend supporting partners with strategic opportunities,” the company said in a statement.
The availability of approved maximum discounts through MasterStream-UNITY continues the push toward the automation of operations that has been a focus for XO throughout 2013. Partner quoting activity has increased by 28 percent since August, the company reported.
“Since announcing the availability of the MasterStream-UNITY quoting tool this spring ,we have continued to see utilization rise month over month and expect that this latest enhancement will push the needle even further,” said Alethea Peyrin, XO senior manager of channel operations.
XO is adding more features as well: the carrier is on track to upgrade MasterStream-UNITY with click-to-order capabilities by early 2014, it said. Meanwhile, beta testing with several XO Business Partners is underway.
