ZyXEL Bundles Kaspersky Security with UTM Devices

ZyXEL Communications, which offers Wi-Fi, router and gateway products via channel partners, has inked a deal with Kaspersky Labs to bundle the security film’s Endpoint Security for Business Suite with ZyXEL’s USG series of unified threat management (UTM) devices.

The security suite will be thrown in for no additional charge. The number of one-year licenses packaged will depend on the size of the ZyXEL UTM device purchased; owners of ZyXEL’s USG20, USG20W, USG50, and USG100 will receive one free one-year subscription; USG200 owners will receive two; and owners of USG 1000 and USG 2000 will receive four and five one-year licenses, respectively.

“ZyXEL has combined a complete set of tools with best in breed security vendors for our UTM devices to offer SMBs an unmatched solution in performance and simplicity,” said Steven Joe, executive vice president for ZyXEL. “As SMBs experience persistent security threats, we are working with partners like Kasparsky to find more ways to help businesses try new tools to improve their network defenses, risk-free.”

ZyXEL’s USG series of UTM devices are designed for small to mid-size businesses to provide real-time inspection and multi-layer network protection to prevent the network from threats. The USG Series encompasses stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall, anti-virus (AV), intrusion detection and prevention (IDP), content filtering, anti-spam and VPN (IPSec/SSL/L2TP) features in one box. In addition, the IPv6 ready USG series come with continuous firmware upgrades to keep businesses up-to-date with most current security protection.
