Soracom Names Halliday CEO, Americas

Soracom, a cloud-native IoT platform providing connectivity, cloud integration and AI services for the Internet of Things, named Richard Halliday Chief Executive Officer, Americas. Halliday assumed the role effective June 1, 2026.

Halliday brings more than 30 years of experience building and scaling technology businesses across industrial manufacturing, global distribution, and IoT connectivity. He later shaped product strategy for a global distribution business with more than $1 billion in revenue at Premier Farnell. At Digi International, as Vice President of Channel Sales and Alliances, he rebuilt the company’s go-to-market model into a partner-led growth engine. Halliday joined Soracom in 2022 to lead partnerships in the Americas, later taking responsibility for all Americas sales and technical services and driving rapid growth in the region. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Colgate University.

“Soracom’s Americas business has grown quickly, with thriving customer deployments and recognition as a leading partner across the region. Richard has led sales and partnerships through that growth, and I am confident that as Chief Executive Officer, Americas, he will keep current and future customers succeeding,” said Kenta Yasukawa, Co-Founder and CTO of Soracom.
