Aerohive Names Partners of the Year for Cloud-Managed Wi-Fi

Aerohive Networks, which focuses on Wi-Fi and cloud-enabled enterprise networking, has named its 2012 top-performing partners in Aerohive’s Advantage Partner Program.

Partner of the Year awards go to one channel partner in each of Aerohive’s core regions in North America. After evaluating its partner community, Aerohive named Accuvant as Partner of the Year in the West, SynerComm Inc. in the Central region and Whalley Computer Associates in the East.

In recent months, Aerohive has expanded its channel team and appointed vice president of channel sales Kurt Mills to increase support for the thriving partner community and to guide Aerohive’s growth in the cloud-managed networking space. Aerohive provides enterprise access networks with a cloud-enabled, self-organizing, service-aware, identity-based infrastructure that includes Wi-Fi, VPN, branch routing and switching solutions.

“More and more of our customers demand enterprise Wi-Fi and cloud-managed networking solutions that can support the mobile explosion within their organizations,” said Paul Whalley, vice president at Whalley Computer. “Aerohive’s cloud-managed, easily deployable solutions coupled with the strong support of the Aerohive channel team have enabled us to not only meet the demand within our customer base, but to exponentially grow our business.”

Aerohive’s program offers regional channel teams, marketing support, technical education and sales training for North America channel partners in order to further the reach of Aerohive’s cloud-managed networking solutions. Partners were evaluated in 2012 based on contribution and performance across four categories, including top bookings, technical expertise, engagement and education.

As far as meeting requirements, the three winners had the top bookings in their regions and have shown quarter-over-quarter growth since joining the Aerohive Partner Program about three years ago. Partners demonstrated technical expertise through their strong understanding of Aerohive’s technology and an ability to execute on it, the company said, and partners scored high on engagement by closely aligning with Aerohive’s sales team. Education level was evaluated through their active participation and cooperation in events, planning and company certifications.

As Aerohive scales its partner-driven business in 2013, the company plans to provide stronger alignment with sales, more education and certification for partners and increase accessibility to technologies with tools that better enable partners to sell them, it said.

“Aerohive’s unique channel program is one of the industry’s best. The company provides the tools and support we need to better service our customers and expand our business,” said Mark Sollazo, president and CEO at SynerComm. “We’re honored to receive this recognition out of the hundreds of partners in the Aerohive channel program and look forward to continuing to help grow Aerohive’s business and our own in 2013.”
