Texas metro-regional fiber and networking provider Alpheus Communications has announced multiple connections to CyrusOne data centers in the Lone Star State. Alpheus fiber network services are now available in three CyrusOne data centers – two in Houston and one in Dallas.
“CyrusOne’s world-class facilities provide the reliable and redundant data center platform that Alpheus customers demand in today’s business environment,” said Scott Widham, CEO of Alpheus. “Adding CyrusOne’s data centers to our on-net fiber footprint gives our customers even more infrastructure options to implement their cloud solutions. Growing the mix and diversity of data centers on our network is a natural progression for Alpheus as we continue to broaden the scope of high-quality services and unparalleled customer relationships for which we are known.”
Alpheus’ connectivity to CyrusOne data centers will bolster the company’s infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offering for businesses looking to implement their cloud strategy. Expanding Alpheus’ data-center footprint also complements its MPLS IP VPN and high-bandwidth fiber services. And, Alpheus offers Ethernet LAN (ELAN) service, which is a secured, Layer 2 managed network solution that businesses with multiple locations can use to connect their facilities for voice, data and video applications.
“Alpheus’ fiber network is a proven and very reliable pathway for high-bandwidth, mission-critical applications, and we’re pleased to have their connectivity in our Texas data centers,” said Josh Snowhorn, vice president and general manager of interconnection for CyrusOne. “As businesses increasingly shift applications and operations to the cloud, it’s imperative that CyrusOne customers using our National Internet Exchange have access to best-in-class connections offered by carriers such as Alpheus.”
