The Amsterdam Internet Exchange has appointed Phil Matte as sales director of its U.S. subsidiary, AMS-IX USA Inc. He’ll be focused on forging new customer relationships for AMS-IX Bay Area, AMS-IX New York and AMS-IX Chicago.
“A seasoned industry veteran, Phil Matte is a valuable addition to our team as well as a tremendous asset to our peering customers across the U.S.,” said Mark Cooper, chief commercial officer of AMS-IX. “His deeply-rooted industry knowledge, sales leadership experience and proven client service approach will be instrumental in furthering AMS-IX USA Inc.’s growth across the nation.”
Matte holds more than 25 years of decorated sales leadership experience in the IT and telecom sectors. He joins AMS-IX USA Inc. from Spread Networks, LLC, where he served as director of national accounts, providing custom fiber-optic network solutions to U.S.-based content delivery networks (CDNs), data centers and telecommunications companies. Prior to joining Spread Networks, Matte held sales management roles at Voiance Language Services, CoreLink Data Centers and Switch and Data [formerly Palo Alto Internet Exchange (PAIX)].
