With an eye to the unwired business, AT&T has announced the availability of expanded virtual private network (VPN) bundles for small and medium-sized business (SMBs) that provide free mobile remote access. Mobile users as a result can access the VPN from virtually any device.
“The need to mobilize business has never been more important,” said S. Dale McHenry, vice president of enterprise networks at AT&T. “We are pairing our expertise in mobility and virtual private networking to deliver a truly game-changing combination of features and services to our customers.”
With the Mobile Remote Access Service, available via channel partners, customers can extend their VPN connection to their mobile devices, and connect up to 100 mobile devices with mobile remote access and global Wi-Fi. The bundles also include VoIP calling options and security services.
The service enables a consistent VPN access experience in or away from the home office, including global remote access via the AT&T Global Network Client.
