AT&T, WarnerMedia Announce $1.4B Sale of Playdemic to EA

AT&T and WarnerMedia announced that Electronic Arts (EA) has acquired Warner Bros. Games’ Playdemic for $1.4 billion. Playdemic is a mobile gaming company that allows players around the world to compete with each other in real time.

With the addition of Playdemic, the EA portfolio spans more than 18 top mobile live services across the lifestyle, casual, sports and mid-core games genres. This acquisition is part of Electronic Arts’ mobile growth strategy focused on delivering new interactive entertainment for its network of nearly half a billion players around the world.

The transaction is subject to “customary purchase price adjustments.”
