Carriers and Basketball Headline PlanetOne Denver Tour Stop

Arizona-based master agency PlanetOne Communications took their partners to the court during the latest stop on the 2014 Telecom Tour, held April 9 at the Pepsi Center in Denver. An exclusive panel of executive speakers from PlanetOne preferred vendors was accompanied by networking opportunities and thousands of dollars in prizes and giveaways, and followed by an evening in two of the Center’s luxury suites.

Partners, who are invited to attend at no charge, were able to watch the Denver Nuggets hold off the Houston Rockets for a 123 – 116 win at home.

The panel speakers included Garrett Gee, indirect channel chief for Level 3 Communications, Gary Coben, the vice president of channel services at EvolveIP, and Susie Stanek, manager of product operations at CenturyLink.

“The Planet One Denver road show was another first class event at the Pepsi Center this year, followed by a Nuggets game,” said Tim Painton, president at PlanetOne partner Guardian Broadband. “Year after year, I look forward to this event because of the quality provider presentations, education and networking opportunities. There are so many movers and shakers at these events, it feels like I can get more business done in an hour than I can in a week.”

The company also showcased the PlanetOne Telecom Partner Toolbox during the event. Featuring a mix of professionally developed reports, slide shows, videos, blogs, infographics and more, the Toolbox offers information and marketing tools. Partners can download the materials and use them in their own presentations and marketing pieces as well.

“PlanetOne yet again delivered on another successful road show with informative and captivating speakers, plus the opportunity to hear from my peers on how they are using the Partner Toolbox to win business,” said Chris Terrell, president of Telecom Management Services. “And as always, the day was capped with fun social time.”

The Denver Tour Stop is the latest piece of a broader strategic initiative by PlanetOne to widen opportunities for agents and VARs beyond their existing, successful bases of business, the company said.

“We always look to bring excellence to the channel, and we have seen new opportunities this year for our partners to take their sales performance to the next level with cloud offerings and opportunities in larger-market customers,” said Lauren Shapiro, president of PlanetOne. “Between our Telecom Partner Toolbox, which offers a raft of sales materials covering those hot opportunities, and exclusive events like these that let agents hear directly from carriers on the growth areas, we’re absolutely committed to making 2014 the best year for the channel yet.”

The Telecom Tour next pulls into Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut on June 2 and 3.
