CarrierSales Appoints InContact Exec as Contact Center VP

Utah-based master agency CarrierSales has appointed Ray Hicken as vice president of sales for contact-center solutions.

Hicken will be responsible for building CarrierSales’ ongoing contact center initiatives for its partners and contact-center consultants across the nation. Well-known throughout the channel, Hicken brings a wealth of experience in helping partners and customers understand and identify contact center opportunities.

“I have had the opportunity to support many masters over the years and I’m thrilled to be joining one of the industry’s elite in CarrierSales,” said Hicken. “CarrierSales has been strategically positioning themselves to be a leader in helping their partners sell cloud, specifically in the contact center space. With only 13 percent of the contact centers today operating in the cloud and with the massive paradigm shift to the cloud, CarrierSales has a front seat to be the leader in this race to the cloud. I look forward to continuing the momentum here and to further propel CarrierSales ahead in that race.”

In addition to driving the overall contact center strategy for CarrierSales, Hicken will be tasked with continuing to build the organization’s Cloud Contact Center Coalition. With thousands already participating in this forum, Hicken will lead the effort to travel around the country to network and collaborate with the nation’s leading consultants within the coalition.

“I have known Ray for a number of years and I’m happy to have him join our organization,” said Richard Murray, president of CarrierSales. “As CarrierSales continues to take the initiative of being known as a leader in the contact center space, it’s imperative that we keep adding leaders and resources to keep that momentum going and I’m confident we have that in Ray.”

Before joining CarrierSales, Hicken was the director of channel sales for inContact. CarrierSales was named inContact’s top master agent for 2014.
